Meet Dr. Byron Campbell

Dr. Byron Campbell

Dr. Byron Campbell is currently the owner of Campbell Performance Institute Sport and Rehab, and he serves as the Senior Organizational Physical Therapist for the professional baseball organization he is part of. Dr. Campbell joined Pr1me because he believes in the mission and vision Pr1me is creating for the community.

Dr. Campbell holds a Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree, is a Certified Athletic Trainer (ATC), and a Certified Strength & Conditioning Specialist (CSCS). With nearly a decade of experience in sports medicine and orthopedic rehabilitation, he has worked with a wide range of clients – from high school and collegiate athletes to professional athletes and active adults seeking long-term durability and performance.

Dr. Campbell’s background allows him to bridge the gap between rehabilitation and training. Rather than treating pain in isolation, he focuses on identifying root causes, restoring efficient movement, and building strength that transfers directly to sport and daily life.

What separates Dr. Campbell’s services is that he operates in a cash-based, concierge model. Operating in this model provides the opportunity for focused care without insurance restraints or standardized protocols. Whether you are recovering from injury, managing a chronic issue, or looking to stay healthy, his goal is simple: MOVE BETTER, FEEL STRONGER, LIVE WELL.

What to Expect

Physical therapy at Pr1me is not rushed or templated. Every plan starts with understanding you, your history, and your goals.

Step 1: Comprehensive Evaluation

Your first session is a deep dive.

We assess movement patterns, joint mobility, strength, stability, and tissue quality. We review your injury history, training background, lifestyle demands, and performance goals.

This is a full picture of how and why your body is moving the way it is.

You will leave this session with clarity on what is driving your pain or limitation and what needs to change.

Step 2: Personalized Performance Plan

Based on your evaluation, Dr. Byron designs a plan built specifically for you.

This may include manual therapy, corrective exercise, strength progressions, mobility work, neuromuscular control training, and recovery strategies.

If you train at Pr1me, your plan can integrate directly with your coaches so everyone is aligned. No mixed messages or conflicting programs.

Every decision ties back to one question: does this move you toward long term durability and performance?

Step 3: Integrated, Hands-On Care

Each session is one on one.

You receive focused manual therapy when needed, guided exercise progressions, and real time feedback on movement quality. As you improve, your program evolves.

We do not chase symptoms. We address root causes, restore efficient movement, and build strength that transfers to real life and sport.

Step 4: Progression to Performance

Rehabilitation is only part of the journey.

Once pain decreases and movement improves, the focus shifts toward resilience. We measure progress, challenge weaknesses, and prepare you for the demands of your sport or daily life.

Return to sport decisions are criteria based, not guesswork. The goal is not to get you back quickly. The goal is to get you back ready.

Step 5: Long Term Durability

Many clients continue beyond injury recovery.

We address asymmetries, mobility restrictions, and training inefficiencies before they become problems. The result is fewer setbacks, smarter training, and a body that holds up under load.

You deserve care that matches your ambition.

What You Should Know

Frequently Asked Questions

Do I Need To Have An Injury To Perform Physical Therapy?

No. Physical therapists are experts in the musculoskeletal system who specialize in identifying movement dysfunctions and imbalances that cause or may lead to injury. Beyond injury rehab, as a performance physical therapist, we can offer combined hands-on manual techniques and corrective exercises to optimize movement and function.

Do I Need to See My Doctor Before Starting Physical Therapy?

Florida offers direct access to care without insurance restrictions, allowing for personalized, one-on-one sessions, which allow patients to start treatment immediately. Florida law allows patients to see a physical therapist for up to 30 days without a physician referral if treating a specific diagnosed injury.

Do You Accept My Insurance?

We are an Out-of-Network physical therapy provider, meaning we don’t accept insurance. Research shows that this model allows us to deliver high-quality, 1-on-1 care tailored to your needs – often resulting in faster recovery and fewer required visits.

Many patients can get reimbursed by their insurance, though. Just call the number on your insurance card and ask, “What are my out-of-network physical therapy benefits?” We can provide you with a Super Bill, which typically can offer partial or full reimbursement from your insurance company.

Remaining out-of-network allows us to spend more quality one-on-one time with clients and collaborate with them to deliver the best results. Traditional clinics may see you 3x a week with multiple patients, which removes the personalized care aspect. We typically would see you at most 1-2x a week – offering personalized care that can save you time and money in the long run.

What Are Therapy Packages?

Therapy packages are available at reduced prices for those committed to their recovery process and returning to their passion. Please reach out for more details and to find the right plan for you.
